In 2014’s sixth Power Rankings, the Russians cling to first place, with Canada and Sweden hot on their heels. But do quarter-final upsets lie ahead? Stay tuned.

7.  Czech  Czech Republic:  We got mad when they yelled: “Camus is better than Kafka!”
8.  Finland  Finland:  Yannick Weber, we kiss your stick
9.  Slovakia  Slovakia:  We’re young! Young and talented! Get it?
10.  Suisse  Switzerland:  Did we win silver in a parallel universe?
11.  Latvia  Latvia:  There are no words (printable ones, anyway)
12.  Norway  Norway:  And that’s why we export more oil than hockey players
13.  Denmark  Denmark:  Obviously, we didn’t play enough Volbeat in the room
14.  Germany  Germany:  Kink scene gone wrong
15.  Italy  Italy:  This wasn’t one of our finer contributions to world culture
