Swedish defenceman Jonas Ahnelov has left the tournament after suffering an injury in last night’s game against Norway.

It was in the second period that Ahnelov took a hard hit to the boards after a race to the puck, suffering a shoulder injury on the play.

The 26-year-old Ahnelov is Sweden’s second defenseman to leave the tournament. Before him, Daniel Rahimi suffered a tournament-ending injury in the game versus the Czech Republic with a bleeding in his left kidney.

The injuries leave Tre Kronor with only six defencemen on the roster, leading to speculation of possible additions.
